Tasked with rebranding United's onboard catering options, our team set out to create a clean yet modern menu design that used photography of our menu offerings. Inspired by food blogs and other high-end food magazines, we took a top-down approach to the food photography and focused on typography and icons in the item descriptions.

When it comes to the business of selling food onboard an aircraft, our biggest competition isn’t other airlines, it’s the food that is found in the concourse. Utilizing the information displays at the gates, we advertised onboard food through photography and bargain prices.

The final Boeing 747 flight for United Airlines was a retro-inspired flight to Honolulu from San Francisco. As a throw-back, our team created menus inspired from the first 747 flight to Hawaii.
Close attention was paid to the linen paper that would not only look but feel like a menu from the 1970’s.
In addition to a menu, a coaster was made with a same linen paper as the menu.

Inspired by the many destinations United Airlines connects travelers to, each snack box offers flavors from specific locales.
Using photography and brand colors, our design team thoughtfully sourced photos that could provide customs a glimpse into the locales that inspire the snacks inside.
